Introducing the Astro Tools 78312 3/8" Drive ½ Size Nano Socket Set. If you’re familiar with our 78311 ½ size socket set – this new addition offers the same features but now added to our Nano Socket Family with outside hex, this set using our popular 17mm Nano Socket hex size for 3/8” drive hand tools & impacts as well as our 17mm Nano Socket Ratchet Wrenches like 78318. If you've ever grabbed a 13mm socket only to find it too tight, but a 14mm is too loose—and you know it's not SAE—you've experienced how vehicle bolts deviate from factory perfection over time. This specialized set includes Cro-Mo impact grade sockets in 0.5mm increments allowing you to use the 0.5mm under sockets for securely fitting rounded or damaged fasteners, and the 0.5mm over sockets for tackling swollen, corroded, or cap-covered nuts. You can tap under-sized sockets into place with a hammer for maximum grip on difficult jobs, guaranteeing a solution for nearly every imperfect metric and often even SAE fasteners too.
